Tempi verbali
- Past simple per azioni concluse con un'indicazione di tempo passato: "Yesterday I had to go out of my office", "What happened last Sunday?", "Where were you yesterday at 5pm? I was at the shopping centre".
- Paradigmi da sapere: feel, felt; find, found; eat, ate, eaten (participio passato).
- Past continuous per un'azione in corso nel passato: "What were you doing? I was arranging my lessons", "The day before yesterday Hilary was dancing on her desk".
- Past perfect per un'azione precedente a un'altra passata: "When we arrived the play had already started".
- Present perfect con esperienze fino a ora: "Have you ever been to Greece up to now?", "How many times have you been to Rome?".
- Futuro con will per decisioni e previsioni: "I think I will take a break", "Will they come to the party?", "You'll miss the train if you don't hurry".
- Dopo as soon as riferito al futuro si usa il presente: "As soon as he comes back, we'll have a party".
